GARDENING INCURSION FROM BUNNINGS – LANCEFIELD

GARDENING INCURSION FROM BUNNINGS – LANCEFIELD

On 19 January 2017, the kids at our Lancefield centre were lucky to have two friendly staff members from Bunnings, Lyn and Errell, come and host a wonderful gardening incursion.

Each child got to plant, and take home, their very own Marigolds in biodegradable pots, and in no time at all our kinder kids will see beautiful yellow, gold, orange and bronze coloured marigolds blossoming beautifully in their gardens. These biodegradable pots also help reinforce the sustainability principles that guide all of our activities at the centre, from creating art with recycled household items, to growing our own veggies and using biodegradable materials, we try to set the example to our kids that reducing, reusing and recycling is one of the best ways to help our planet.

The kids had a fantastic time learning about the growing process of plants and how to care for them. We would like to say a huge thanks to Bunnings Warehouse Sunbury, to Lyn and Errell, and to all our staff for making this incursion possible.
