We had an amazing time last week when our school aged children visited Edgar’s Mission Animal Sanctuary as part of our School Holiday Programme. They had heaps of fun meeting all of the beautiful animals that call the animal sanctuary home. We would like to say a huge thanks to all the staff at Edgar’s Mission who showed us around and introduced us to the cute and cuddly animals, and to our staff for making this awesome excursion possible.
This week we had a very special visitor to our centre for the school holidays: Toby the T-Rex! Toby wowed our kids with his amazing dance moves, fun games and awesome toothy smile. Our kids loved getting up close with an (almost) life size T-Rex. It was an awesome show and we are sure the kids will remember it for a long time.
We want to say a huge thank to our cooks for putting on some delicious food for the parents at our spring menu launch. Our cooks and staff do an amazing job every day to make sure our kids have delicious and nutritious meals that they love eating. We hope you all enjoyed getting to chat to our cooks and our staff about the food and we hope you enjoyed eating some too!
We would like to say a huge Happy Fathers day to all the fathers and special people in our children lives. At Romsey and Lancefield this week we held events to celebrate our fantastic fathers and the impact they have had on the lives our children. It was great seeing our community all together having fun. We hope you all enjoyed the aprons and various other gifts the children prepared for you. Happy Fathers Day!
Recently we had a special visit from the ‘Flying bookworm theatre company’ who asked all the children if they would like to re-enact a story! As you can see, our kids eagerly volunteered to get up and help put on a show for their friends. Everyone had a joyous day and couldn’t help but talk about the acting they all did!
A few weeks ago our school age students from Romsey and Lancefield participated in a robotics and programming workshop at Melbourne University as part of our school holiday programme. During the workshop our children undertook a series of programming challenges using the Lego Mindstorm EV3 robots. Everyone had a lot of fun learning about robotics, programming and how engineering can make our lives easier.
