In the Toddler Room at Romsey our kids have been having a great time picking the tomatoes we have grown in our veggie patch. They loved watching the tomatoes as they grew bigger and changed from red to green. After tasting some freshly picked and washed tomatoes, they delivered the rest to our lovely cook who will be using them to make something delicious.
Today we had an awesome eecIncursion called Cape-Abilities. During the incursion we were invited by Mike to join him on his journey to learn about his superpower. Along the way, we made many new friends and participated in many physical activities. At the end of the incursion we all learnt that the greatest superpower we have is our imagination. With it we can do anything and be anything.
All of our children throughly enjoyed this fantastic incursion and we want to say a huge thanks to Mike and our staff for making it possible.
On Monday the 17th of February we will be hosting the amazing Cape-Abilities! Cape-abilities is a wonderfully visual performance that explores difference and diversity and is full of positive messages aimed at building confidence in children. Designed by a University of Canberra lecturer and a child performance expert, this show is sure to delight our kids.
Places at our eecIncursions are limited, so make sure you get in touch with our staff at Romsey or Lancefield to secure a booking for your child!
At Romsey and Lancefield the children have really enjoyed looking after the veggie garden, and now they get to enjoy the results of all their hard work. We had a lot of fun picking the veggies that we grew and we cant wait to use them in some of the delicious meals we serve at out centres.
As part of our school holiday programme at Lancefield last week, we had a space day! We started with an awesome school holiday Space VR incursion and later in the day we made space themed cookies in the shape of planets that we decorated with outer space icing.
This week our kids had an amazing time when Moz’s Christmas visited our centre as part of our eecIncursion programme. Our kids were singing, dancing and laughing with glee during the awesome Christmas performance.
On Thursday the 7th of November we will be hosting a sustainability incursion from the lovely folks at Little Sprouts Program. Our kids will be learning all about the benefits of composting, reducing our waste and worm farming.
This is going to be a fantastic eecIncursion so make sure you get in touch with the staff at Romsey or Lancefield Early Education Centres to book a place for your child.
Recently we had hosted an awesome incursion from our friends at WildlifeXposure. Our kids loved meeting some of the beautiful marine creatures that call Victoria home. Getting up close with these amazing animals was a fantastic experience.
We had an amazing time last week when our school aged children visited Edgar’s Mission Animal Sanctuary as part of our School Holiday Programme. They had heaps of fun meeting all of the beautiful animals that call the animal sanctuary home. We would like to say a huge thanks to all the staff at Edgar’s Mission who showed us around and introduced us to the cute and cuddly animals, and to our staff for making this awesome excursion possible.
This week we had a very special visitor to our centre for the school holidays: Toby the T-Rex! Toby wowed our kids with his amazing dance moves, fun games and awesome toothy smile. Our kids loved getting up close with an (almost) life size T-Rex. It was an awesome show and we are sure the kids will remember it for a long time.
